You declare your own money movements: recurring ones like rent and salary, and one-time ones like a repair. Grinance lays them out on a calendar ahead of time, so the month is visible before it happens.

So I have to type it all in?
You enter each item once, with its schedule. Rent is one entry that appears on every month it belongs to, and a one-time cost is one entry on its date. The interview walks through the categories in turn, every question can be skipped, and anything you leave out can be added later.
